1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

My childhood friend’s late father originally owned this Cutlass Supreme. He began to repair the rust areas, but sadly became ill and was unable to complete the repair.

I acquired the car May 20, 2017, after my friend contacted me on Facebook asking if I would be interested in the car. I travelled to North Jersey to see the car and fell in love with it. I had it loaded onto a flatbed and bought back to New Castle, Delaware.

It’s completely original inside and out except for the radio. The A/C still blows cold and the cruise control still maintains the speed selected.

The original 4.3L 260cid V8 had 95,101 miles the day I bought it home. As the second owner I had the vinyl landau roof replaced and the brake lines replaced. I’m undecided between having it restored or leaving it as is. As they say “it’s only original one time”.

This is one of the last A-Body frames before being changed over to the G-Body frame which most of the parts are inter-changeable.
